A Children's picture book collection inspired by bolivian biodiversity
BioDiversiTeals is a children’s literary and scientific collection inspired by the extraordinary fauna, flora, and ecosystems of Bolivia.
Comprising 50 picture books organized into 10 thematic series, the collection brings together engaging storytelling, scientific knowledge, and artistic illustration to foster children’s curiosity, imagination, and appreciation for the natural world.
As the flagship initiative of Anemócora Publishing, BioDiversiCuentos also serves as a methodological laboratory for developing and validating innovative narrative, graphic, educational, and publishing models. Beyond creating books, the project explores new ways of communicating biodiversity through art, science, and storytelling.
The collection will be translated into multiple languages to reach children across cultures, inspiring them to discover, value, and connect with biodiversity—starting with Bolivia’s unique natural heritage while encouraging a deeper appreciation of the living world everywhere.

Its 10 books Series
The BioDiversiCuentos collection will include 10 thematic series, each consisting of five picture books.
Every series introduces a unique animal character whose adventures take place in the ecosystems it calls home. Through these stories, children explore Bolivia's extraordinary biodiversity while discovering the relationships between species, habitats, and conservation.
The project begins with the development of the first three series, establishing the creative and narrative framework for the remaining collection and laying the foundation for a globally accessible library of biodiversity-inspired picture books
Progress of the collection
Although each series will eventually include five picture books, the pilot phase focuses on developing the first title of the first three series.
We have set ourselves the challenge of bringing BioDiversiCuentos to life through these first three picture books. They serve as a creative laboratory where we develop and refine innovative editorial models inspired by the combined knowledge and talents of biologists, ecologists, graphic artists, illustrators, educators, and many other contributors.
