Anemocora Publishing was founded in 2025 on the belief that books can inspire curiosity, wonder, and a lasting commitment to the natural world and its conservation. Through beautifully illustrated picture books and stories, we introduce children and families to the extraordinary richness of biodiversity, with an initial focus on Bolivia and Latin America and a long-term vision of expanding to the ecosystems and cultures of Europe. Our mission is to transform scientific knowledge into meaningful, creative, and memorable reading experiences that encourage readers to explore, appreciate, and protect nature.
Our work brings together illustrators, writers, scientists, and educators to create books where art and science come together in an engaging and accessible way. Each publication invites readers to discover species, landscapes, and cultures that deserve to be understood and preserved, strengthening the bond between people and the natural heritage we share from an early age. More than a children’s publishing house, Anemocora is a project committed to creativity, education, and conservation as powerful tools for inspiring future generations to care for our planet.
The name Anemocora is inspired by anemochory, the natural process by which certain seeds, through specially evolved structures, are carried by the wind to distant places where they germinate and give rise to new life. This idea is also reflected in our logo, which depicts a seed opening to begin its journey. Its central spiral symbolizes growth and evolution, while the shapes emerging from its core evoke movement, dispersal, and the spread of new ideas. Just as the wind carries seeds to new horizons, we believe that books have the power to carry knowledge, imagination, and hope, planting inspiration wherever they find a reader.
Nace la Editorial Anemocora: Sembrando historias que viajan con el viento
La Editorial Anemocora nace el 2025 con la convicción de que los libros pueden despertar la curiosidad, el asombro y el compromiso con el mundo natural y su conservación. A través de libros álbum e historias ilustradas de alta calidad, acercamos a niñas, niños y familias a la extraordinaria biodiversidad, con un enfoque inicial en Bolivia y Latinoamérica y una visión de crecimiento hacia los ecosistemas y culturas de Europa. Nuestro propósito es transformar el conocimiento científico en experiencias de lectura sensibles, creativas y memorables que inspiren a conocer, valorar y proteger la naturaleza.
Nuestro trabajo reúne a ilustradores, escritores, científicos y educadores para crear obras donde el arte y la ciencia dialogan de manera accesible y emocionante. Cada publicación invita a descubrir especies, paisajes y culturas que merecen ser conocidas y conservadas, fortaleciendo desde la infancia el vínculo entre las personas y el patrimonio natural que compartimos. Más que una editorial infantil, Anemocora es un proyecto que apuesta por la educación, la creatividad y la conservación como motores para formar nuevas generaciones comprometidas con el planeta.
El nombre Anemocora se inspira en la anemocoria, el proceso natural mediante el cual ciertas semillas, gracias a estructuras evolucionadas, son transportadas por el viento hacia lugares lejanos, donde germinan y dan origen a nueva vida. Este concepto da vida también a nuestro logotipo, que representa una semilla en proceso de apertura. Su espiral central simboliza el crecimiento y la evolución, mientras que las formas que emergen de su núcleo evocan el movimiento, la dispersión y el nacimiento de nuevas ideas. Así como el viento lleva las semillas hacia nuevos horizontes, creemos que los libros tienen el poder de transportar conocimiento, imaginación y esperanza, sembrando inspiración allí donde encuentran un lector.
